CattCut Terms
CattCut is a video editing system that runs inside Claude Code. It is offered by CATTORY SAS, tax ID (NIT) 901.967.828, based in Medellín, Colombia ("Cattory", "we"). These terms are the agreement between Cattory and the person who buys CattCut ("you").
By buying, installing or using CattCut you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not buy or install CattCut.
1. What CattCut is and is not
1.1. CattCut is a set of skills, styles, presets, scripts and documentation ("the Software") installed as a Claude Code plugin on your computer. Editing runs on your machine, with your Claude account.
1.2. You need your own Claude account, on a plan that includes Claude Code, which you contract and pay for separately with Anthropic under its terms. That account is not included in what you pay Cattory. CattCut is not an Anthropic product and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic.
1.3. Cattory does not receive your videos, recordings or transcripts. They stay on your computer, except what you choose to send us in a bug report.
2. Plans and prices
Prices are in US dollars (USD), taxes included, and are the ones published on the CattCut page at the time you buy.
- CattCut Membership · USD 29 a month. Charged when you buy and renewed automatically every month at the same price until you cancel.
- CattCut Founder · USD 100, one-time payment. Includes one (1) month of license, counted from the purchase, and the guided setup as onboarding: a session with you, on a date we agree on, where we install CattCut on your computer, show you how it works and edit your first video together. It does not renew by itself. Before the month ends we send you the link to continue with the membership; if you do not buy it, access ends when the month is over.
3. Payments and invoicing
Payments are processed by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia), which acts as merchant of record: it charges you, issues your invoice or receipt, and calculates and collects any applicable taxes. Cattory never sees your card details. When you pay you also accept Creem's purchase terms.
4. The license you get
4.1. While your plan is active, Cattory grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to install and use the Software.
4.2. The license is for one person, on up to two (2) computers that you own or control. If you work with a team or an agency, each person who uses CattCut needs their own license.
4.3. You can use CattCut for your own videos and for videos you make for your clients. What you charge for those videos is yours.
5. What you may not do
Unless Cattory authorizes it in writing, you may not:
- copy, share, publish, sell, resell, rent, lend or give away the Software or any part of it, including the skills, styles, presets, recipes and scripts;
- share your license key or your installation link with another person;
- use the Software, in whole or in part, to build or train a product or service that competes with CattCut, including a skill pack, a template or a course;
- remove, alter or hide the license identification marks (section 8) or the ownership notices;
- try to bypass the license check or the updates;
- use CattCut to produce illegal content, to impersonate a real person without their consent, or to infringe other people's copyright, image or trademark rights.
Asking Claude to copy, summarize or rewrite the Software for any of these purposes counts the same as doing it yourself.
6. Ownership
6.1. The Software belongs to Cattory and is protected by copyright law (Colombian Law 23 of 1982 and Andean Decision 351 of 1993). This license does not transfer any ownership to you.
6.2. Your videos are yours. Cattory claims no rights over the material you record or the videos you produce with CattCut. You are responsible for having the rights to the material you edit (images, music, voices, third-party trademarks).
6.3. CattCut uses third-party components under their own open-source licenses. Those licenses apply to those components, are included in the plugin, and nothing in these terms restricts them.
7. Renewal, cancellation and end of access
7.1. Cancellation. You can cancel the membership at any time from Creem's customer portal or by writing to hey@cattory.co. After you cancel there are no more charges and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid.
7.2. Failed payment. If a renewal charge fails, you have seven (7) calendar days to update your payment method. CattCut keeps working during that time.
7.3. What happens when access ends, whether because you canceled and the paid period ended, the CattCut Founder month expired, a payment was not resolved within 7 days, there was a refund or chargeback, or the license was revoked (section 11):
- the license ends, your key stops working and you must stop using the Software;
- you stop receiving updates, new styles and support;
- the plugin uninstalls itself from Claude Code in your next session, together with the support files it downloaded (models, fonts, resources);
- your projects and videos stay on your disk: they live in your folders, not inside the plugin, and are not touched.
If you buy again, you get your access back.
7.4. Price changes. If we change the membership price, we tell you by email at least thirty (30) days in advance and it applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before that date.
8. License check and identification marks
8.1. To install and update, the plugin connects to a Cattory server with your license key. That server decides whether to deliver the current version or, if your access ended, the instruction that removes the plugin (7.3).
8.2. Each copy of the Software carries a license identifier. That identifier contains no name, email or other personal data; only Cattory can link it to your account. It lets us know which license a copy circulating without permission came from.
8.3. Cattory counts activations and downloads per key to apply the two-computer limit and detect shared keys. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
9. Refunds
Refunds are processed by Creem, to the same payment method, under these rules:
9.1. Membership. If CattCut does not work for you, you can ask for a refund of your first charge within seven (7) calendar days. Renewals are not refunded, except a charge made by mistake. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date.
9.2. CattCut Founder. Full refund as long as the guided setup has not happened. Once it has happened, it is not refundable.
9.3. A refund ends the license (7.3).
9.4. To ask for one, write to hey@cattory.co from the email you bought with.
9.5. Nothing here limits the consumer rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
10. Updates and changes to the Software
10.1. While your plan is active you get the updates we publish.
10.2. We may add, change or remove features, styles or presets. If we remove something important that we advertised when you bought CattCut, we tell you and you can cancel.
10.3. Claude Code and Claude plans belong to Anthropic and change outside Cattory's control. We make reasonable efforts to adapt CattCut quickly to those changes, but we cannot guarantee that an Anthropic feature will keep existing, nor its prices or usage limits.
11. Revocation for breach
If you breach section 5, Cattory may suspend or end your license, without a refund, and remove the plugin (7.3). Before ending it we write to you to hear your side, except in obvious cases of reselling or publishing the Software. Cattory reserves any legal action that applies.
12. Support
Your plan includes support in Spanish or English, by WhatsApp or at hey@cattory.co, on business days and within a reasonable time. It is not instant or 24/7 support. Bug reports are only sent if you turn them on or approve them, and never include your videos.
13. Warranties
13.1. Cattory warrants that the Software works substantially as described in its documentation, on a machine that meets the published requirements. If it does not, we fix it or, if we cannot, we refund what you paid for the last period.
13.2. Beyond that, the Software is provided "as is". The result of each edit depends on Claude, an artificial intelligence model that can make mistakes: always review the video before you publish it. We do not guarantee reach, views, sales or income.
13.3. Nothing here limits the warranties that the applicable law does not allow to exclude.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Cattory's total liability to you for any claim related to CattCut does not exceed what you paid for CattCut in the twelve (12) months before the event that caused it. Cattory is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of data you did not back up, or failures of Claude, Claude Code, Creem, your hardware or your connection. This does not apply to damages caused by fraud or gross negligence.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If the change is important, we tell you by email at least fifteen (15) days in advance. If you keep using CattCut after that date, you accept the new version; if you do not agree, you can cancel before.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. We first try to settle any disagreement by direct conversation for thirty (30) days. If it is not settled, the courts of Medellín will hear it, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer, including going to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
The Spanish version of these terms prevails if the two versions differ.
